We have 4 - now 5! see below - ponds on this tour, to show four different approaches to covering you pond. We will spend about 30 minutes at each pond, giving ample time for questions on construction and how well the owner thinks the cover performed. We need to do this soon, as many of the covers will be off by mid-April.
The tour will start at Jerry and Carol Hunter's house at noon (5458 Escondido Drive). Enter the yard through the gate on the West side of the house. From here, we will all go to Althea and Tim McPherson and Jon and Terry Sholdt's house (2303 Collegiate Drive) to see their pond cover. Enter this by walking around the garage side of the house into the back yard. Then we all move downtown to Phil and Ellen Goulding's house (21 E. San Miguel), there, we will enter through the gate on the West side of the house. From there we travel south to Chris and Lisa Washko's house (1950 Fox Mountain Point). Not only is Chris's pond cover worth seeing, but so is his filter house. Due to covenants, Chris was not allowed to have an “out building” on his property. But they did allow him to cover a building so that it looks like the other boulders in the area.... that's also worth seeing.Although we will all be traveling at the same time, maps will be available.
